The following list of accomplishments and contributions to Paschal High School was made possible by your dues and generous donations during the past ten years. The first donation to the Alumni Association was made by Tom Reeder, class of 1940, who wrote the school song, Hail Dear Old Paschal.

  • Computer and printer for Creative Writing classes

  • Typewriters for teacher workroom

  • New maps and globes for all history classes

  • Literature books for Advanced Reading classes

  • Special Education supplies

  • New microscopes and repair of old ones for Science Lab

  • Calculators (40) for math classes

  • Encyclopedia set for library

  • Contributions to Math Department

  • $1,000 loan to economics class for investing in stocks

  • Contributions to Theater Department

  • Established Academic Endowment Fund honoring John Hamilton ($5,000 seed money)

  • 2 $500 scholarships in memory of alumnus Mike Brees ’48

  • 2 $1,000 scholarships in honor of retired science┬áteacher, Weldon Lotspeich

 

Athletics

  • New school mascot uniforms

  • Permanent signs designating Paschal football championships

  • Gym Renovation – $10,000 raised

    • Gym walls/rafters painted (first time since 1955)

    • Walls striped and Panther mural painted on wall by Paschal alumnus ’91

    • New chairs for players-lettered in purple

    • New vinyl for wall pads

    • Repair of bleachers

  • New concession stand, restrooms, bleachers, and field lighting for football field (Before this project there were no lights, bleachers, restrooms or concession stand on the campus field. It is now a safer environment and a source of pride for the students.)

  • 18 District Championship banners ($100 each) placed in gym

  • New basketball uniforms

  • Girls basketball team sweat shirts

  • Baseball field project

    • Added tall fencing, batting cages, new bleachers, new bullpen, score board sign

    • Remodeled dugouts

    • Purchased mower for field, Varsity jackets, and jersey warm-ups for all teams

  • Girls’ Gym renovation

    • Resurfaced and painted walls

    • Two Panthers painted

    • Purchased training equipment, chair dolly, new chairs for players, and purple chair back covers

  • $10,000 for all sports weight room

  • Donation to cheerleaders for National Competition

  • Popcorn machine for concession stand

  • Provided towels for golf state tournament

 

Campaigns

  • Century Celebration Campaign 1988 — $20,000 raised

  • Back to the Future Campaign — $21,000 raised

  • Wall of Champions Campaign 1994-1995 — $18,000 raised

 

Organizations

  • School spirit supplies

  • Donation to Panther Pride organization

  • Contributions to Paschal Band

  • Computer for Pantherette Department (in honor of Elston Brooks)

  • $2,000 for dark room for Pantherette

  • Donations to Penta Club

  • Bronze plaque commemorating the Century Celebration

  • Chartered buses for Longview football game

  • $500 each year for Senior Graduation Party

  • Ads in student publications

  • Speakers and permanent banners for Alcohol Awareness Week

  • $1,000 for PTA student scholarship

  • Annual Bill Allen Athletic Scholarship-$500 each

  • Safety equipment for Outdoor Awareness Class

  • Lighted marquee for front of school

  • Landscaping on Berry Street side of campus and sprinkler system

  • Donation for atrium

  • Sprinkler system for atrium

  • 1000 balloons for Paschal Homecoming game

  • Donation to Paschal’s Because We Care Program (alcohol & drug program)

  • Booklet given to each senior — “Now that you are 18″

  • $20,000 toward new sound system for auditorium

  • Donation sent to Salvation Army in Oklahoma City in honor of Dr. Andy Sullivan ’62

  • Approximately $18,000 donated by Alumni for engraved bricks in weight room

  • Bronze letters mounted on front of Paschal “EST. 1885″
